I watched All About My Wife because of the lead actors—and it didn’t disappoint. To my surprise, the movie turned out to be a remake of a story I already knew: the Argentine film Un novio para mi mujer, written by Pablo Solarz. A fascinating cultural crossover between Argentina and South Korea!
If you haven’t seen either version, I highly recommend both. They’re hilarious, but here we’re focusing on the Korean adaptation.

The film stars:
- Im Soo Jung as Jung In, known for Come Rain, Come Shine, Finding Mr. Destiny, and the hit drama Sorry, I Love You.
- Lee Sun Kyun as Doo Hyun, a fan favorite from Coffee Prince, Pasta, Golden Time, and Petty Romance.
- Ryu Seung Ryong plays the charming Sung Ki, seen in Iris, Personal Taste, and the box-office hit Masquerade.
The plot centers on Doo Hyun, a man fed up with his wife’s intense personality. Instead of confronting her, he hires a professional seducer to woo her and spark a divorce. But things don’t go as planned. What follows is a string of hilarious, heartfelt, and surprisingly insightful moments that blend comedy and drama.
At first, the film might seem over-the-top or even absurd, but it soon reveals emotional depth. It’s a reminder that every relationship is unique—and that sometimes, life’s unexpected twists come just in time.
Highly recommended for fans of Korean romantic comedies with a clever, original twist.
