I really enjoy this type of movies that push the spectator beyond any previous speculation. Joker Game is based on a 2008 novel, written by Koji Yanagi that had the same name and introduces us into a power struggle like no other.
Cast is, I could say amazing, but it depends on your Japanese actors favorites, but for me Kazuya Kamenashi and, the amazing, Yusuke Iseya, can’t deliver less than awesomeness to the table. And from the second I saw this trailer I wanted the movie to be out already.
Synopsis
Based in an Asian city displaying a fake World War II, Lieutenant Coronel Yuki proposes to create a spy training school in Japan. This place will be named “D Kikan”, in charge of releasing the best spies after hard training.
In the meantime, Kato, will refuse to follow his superior’s orders and because of that he will face capital punishment. To be sent to “D Kikan” where he receives this special spy training and also his first mission as such.
The mission is to grasps the American ambassador’s confidential documents known as “Black Note”. That’s where Kato enters the game, by infiltrating into a international city. The bad news is that he’s not the only one behind this documents. A woman named Rin, the British and the Soviet Spy agencies, and a radial army from Japan, are also in the game for the Black Note.
